3400 miles of driving, a ton of off-road mud caked on the car. 13 Fridge Magnets,
20 different motels/hotels, 7hrs of Digital Video tape, 7 films of photos of some of the most amazing places in the world. Various rock climbing scars and a lost pair of trousers. Best holiday ever. Now I have the very long (and quite tedious) task
of taking individual frames from my digital video for pictures. Most of the
pictures are compressed to about 30KB, 640x480pixels. There are several
movies around about 1-2MB each. A bit at a time....here's the
highlights.
Progress/Update:
17/12/2002: I've got pictures off the first 2 tapes
(click here to see) (The best 50 of 400)
21/12/2002: Added Email Diary
29/01/2003: Added pictures from Paul's Camera
(click here to see) They cover the whole
holiday - its taking me months to get all mine off tape. (The best 55 of
160)
01/04/2004: I've got pictures off the 3rd
tape (click here to see) (The best 40 of 350) and done some more
movies.
Enjoy.....
Bob
Pictures: Make sure you have 2 Internet Browser windows, side
by side (a second should open automatically). Have the file list in
one tall narrow window, and click each link, the pictures will appear in
the other window, 640x480.
Movies: Best to right click and save. For some of these, you definitely need sound.
